According to Xbox's blog post, the game will be set in the timeframe of 2001's Halo: Combat Evolved game. You'll don the role of Fireteam Raven — an elite group of Orbital Drop Shock Troopers.

Your team will be dropped onto Alpha Halo, where you, and, of course, Master Chief, will have to deal with a whole lot of alien Covenant enemies trying to get their greedy mitts on the Halo superweapon. Oh, and you'll have to deal with the ol' Flood infestation too. Remember those parasites? Fun.

It's not just collaborative either. You'll be able to compete against your friends' high scores (in true arcade fashion). Players can scan a QRC code with their phone, which will connect your game progress and stats to your Halo Waypoint account (if you've got one).

The project has been in development for years, and now, Halo: Fireteam Ravenis finally ready to hit the arcades. You'll be able to play it at select Dave & Busters locations in the United States and Canada this summer, and more locations planned for fall.
